I am pleased to welcome you to the State Emergency Service Association of NSW (SESA). Applications for membership are now open via our website, and I encourage all NSW SES members — volunteers and staff alike — to join us as we begin this important journey together.
Our aim is to be a trusted, respected, transparent and active voice, focused on advocacy and representation. We stand for the views, ideas and solutions of all members
We are committed to working in good faith with the NSW SES Volunteers Association (SESVA). This is not, and should not be, about “us versus them.” Two associations can and should co-exist in supporting the members of the NSW SES.
I welcome healthy discussion, even when our views differ — this is natural and important for any representative body. I simply ask that all debate remain respectful.
The response we’ve already received has been overwhelming — through messages, calls and conversations across the Service. It shows there is a genuine appetite for real advocacy and a strong, united voice.
Together, we can build that voice.
Regards,
Nick Aisake
President
