The State Emergency Service Association of NSW acknowledges and thanks NSW SES members who responded in support of NSW Police during the Bondi Beach terror attack.
Members from six units across the Metro Zone, along with Metro Zone personnel, were deployed in highly challenging and confronting circumstances. Their professionalism, leadership and commitment reflect the very best of the NSW State Emergency Service.
The Association also acknowledges the contribution of members from four additional units who provided local storm and routine incident coverage across other unit areas during the incident. This additional coverage ensured community safety was maintained while primary resources were deployed to the incident and was critical to the overall operational response.
Our thoughts are with all members involved in, or affected by, this incident. Events of this nature can have a lasting impact, and the wellbeing of members remains a priority for the Association.
The State Emergency Service Association of NSW is actively engaging with the NSW SES Commissioner and continues to advocate for the welfare and support of members across the Service.
